A hidden gem beach in South Yogyakarta, located in Purwodadi Village, Tepus, Gunungkidul, is Timang Beach. Initially not a tourist destination, Timang Beach was used primarily by sailors to find lobsters around Timang Island. Due to its rugged topography with numerous corals and rocks, it has become a unique spot of interest. The island is not like most islands that are decorated with shady trees, this island is only in the form of rock with cliffs. And to reach the island, local fishermen make a simple gondola to use as their means of transportation in crossing the ocean. It takes about a 2-hour road trip from Yogyakarta.
