Teras Malioboro Ketandan is the new face of Teras Malioboro 2, serving as a shopping destination and a place to find traditional souvenirs from Yogyakarta. It offers a more diverse shopping and culinary experience. Adorned with architectural designs inspired by Chinese culture, this location also reflects the history of Kampung Ketandan as a Chinatown area, making it an attractive destination for tourists and visitors.
Previously, sellers were selling at Malioboro Teras 2, which was a temporary location. This relocation was carried out to provide them with a better and more organized space. A total of 1,041 sellers from Teras Malioboro 2 have been moved to two new locations: Teras Malioboro Ketandan and Teras Malioboro Beskalan. Teras Malioboro Ketandan was opened as part of the revitalization efforts in the Malioboro area, aimed at creating a more organized and comfortable environment for both sellers and visitors.
