One of the hidden gems in Kulon Progo is the Kembangsoka Waterfall, located in Jatimulyo, Girimulyo, Kulon Progo Regency. Nestled in the river valley of the Menoreh Hills, the cool air adds to the natural ambiance of this attraction. The name “Kembangsoka” comes from the many Soka trees that once grew in the area. Locals named the waterfall Kembangsoka. To reach it, tourists must walk about 200 meters from the parking area.

Upon arriving at the waterfall, visitors need to descend to the bottom of the valley. Uniquely, there is a wooden bridge that crosses directly in front of the waterfall. This path leads to a large waterfall flowing into a sizable pond below. At the end of the wooden bridge, tourists can enjoy a large pool formed by two waterfall streams. The Kembangsoka waterfall stands out because its water never recedes, even during the dry season, thanks to three springs surrounding it.
