Pendhapa Art Space, commonly known as PAS, originated as an extension of Studio Satiaji Sculpture & Artwork, owned by sculptor Dunadi. The studio focused on producing three-dimensional art. Construction of Pendhapa Art Space began in stages in 2006, designed by Dunadi himself. Initially named Pendopo Sapto Aji, it served as a multipurpose building and opened to the public in 2011, evolving into an art space by 2013. In 2015, PAS launched an independent arts program called STARTUP. By 2016, Pendhapa Art Space had become an independent business entity dedicated to arts and cultural activities. Dunadi’s grand vision was to create a space devoted to art for both local and international communities.

Pendhapa Art Space organizes a variety of arts and cultural programs, including exhibitions, dance and theater performances, art discussions, and workshops. These programs are conducted independently or in collaboration with local and international arts and cultural communities and institutions in Yogyakarta.
